After a windstorm left a heavy limb hanging over our driveway, the local tree service I hired came out the next morning. The crew used ropes and a pole saw to bring it down in sections, and I remember one piece landing so gently it barely moved the gravel. Their whole team seemed steady and focused, which helped because I was pretty nervous about the limb catching the roof. By the time they left, the driveway was usable again and the yard didn’t look torn up.
